We have pulled together a list of the most frequently asked questions for our Bewdley canoe hire experiences. if you have any further questions please pop us an email and we will be happy to help.
What time should I arrive?
The minibus leaves at the time you have booked for, we advise arriving 15 minutes prior to you booking.
We do not wait for late arrivals.
Where do I park?
We do not have any parking available at the rowing club, please aim to park in Dog Lane carpark, Bewdley, DY12 2EF
bear in mind it is a 5 minute walk from the car park to us.
Where do we meet?
In the members car park of Bewdley rowing club, we will be waiting in or by the White logged up mini bus with the canoes on or behind it.
Please don't drive to the meet point, you cannot access the site by vehicle.
Do we have toilets at the meet point?
Yes you have access to toilets at the meet point.
There are no toilets at the launch points so plan to go before getting on the transport if you need it.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes, this is suitable for people who have never canoed before.
We expect everyone who takes part is able to swim 25m minimum in moving water. If you capsize you will need to rescue yourself.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes dogs are welcome and theres no additional charge. We do not provide buoyancy aids for dogs however. its best for your dog to wear a harness with a handle to make picking them out of the river easier.
Dogs are also welcome in the transport but please be aware that there may be people who don't like dogs or are other dogs present in the vehicle so keep them under close control.
What should I wear?
quick dry clothing is always recommended with decent footwear and not crocs, sliders or flip-flops.
It's worth bringing a spare change of clothes and leaving these in your vehicle.
What is the minimum age?
10 years old when with two adults or 13 years old when with a solo adult.
if you are 2 adults / 2 children under 13 then please choose a rafted canoe option in the booking process.
